Yakada Labs

This month is special for Yakada Labs, as I officially celebrate one year in business. It was not as hard as I expected it to be, also it was not as successful as I wanted it to be. Overall I'm in a good place, where my primary customer is Fastbreak.ai, I'm lucky to have an opportunity to work with a founding group I greatly admire and have a lot of respect.

For the coming year, my biggest goal is to expand and grow the business. Ultimately the success of Yakada Labs will depend on my ability to grow the business.

Dance

I attended Paradise Dance competition last week (Oct 16-19, 2026). While I won my division for country western dances, I discovered that I want to focus more on west coast swing dancing. Therefore, this was my last ProAm competition. I will focus more on improving my WCS dancing. Also, I enjoy occational salsa dancin with my friends. We have a small gathering every Wednesday night for learning salsa dancing.

Workout

Last few months, I have focus more on my recovery. I use Fitbit Air to track my sleep and recovery. I think, Fitbit Air, readiness score gives me good indicators about my recovery. Along, with that I keep up with my 531 lifting schedule and twice a week pelon rides. Depending on my recovery, I'm being kind to body and sometimes skip a workout and give time to recover. It is a good way for me to extend the longevity of my workouts.

Art

Went to see "Always..Patsy Cline" musical at Lone Tree Art Center. I wasn't familiar with all the songs, but I enjoyed it.

Peace

Still keeping up with my regular meditation practice, and stay mindful during the day. The meditation retreat in Sri Lanka in May, helps me to stay mindful during the day. Also, I started journaling in the morning. I kept up the practice for about three months now. Writing on the paper helps me to organize my thoughts and process them efficiently. I feel like it is as effective as talking to someone.

Reading

  1. "What I talk about when I talk about running" by Haruki Murakami
  • I'm not into reading memoirs but this book is really good. I felt that I'm reading his journal. It is entertaining and keeps the reader engaged. What inspired my the most was his writing style. It is a good way to journal. I adopted that way of writing for writing my journal.
